Problem with 2-port N5261A test set
If there is a problem using an N5261A 2-port test set with PNA firmware A.09.80.20, the problem is
most likely caused by the firmware. Upgrade the firmware to A.09.90.08 or later and the problem should be fixed.
Operational Verification for mmWave Systems
Operational verification procedures are supported for various mmWave systems. These procedures are typically
performed at initial system installation and whenever confirmation of proper system performance is required.
Operational verification procedures for N5250A/C and N5251A mmWave systems do not use fixed pass/fail limits. Various performance
characteristics are measured. The user then compares these measurements to measurements made previously on the
system or to values from known standards (such as those in a verification kit). Pass/fail determination requires
Annual system calibration is only supported on N5290A and N5291A mmWave systems. These are the only systems which have
"hard" specifications. For the other systems, there is no requirement for an annual calibration. Instead, an annual
calibration may be performed stand-alone on the network analyzer that is part of the system.
Of course, a "user" calibration is supported for all mmWave systems. This is a calibration performed with a
calibration kit prior to making measurements with a system.
