Question 1:
I have lost the USB flash memory containing the thermal characterization
data for my CalPod, how do I replace it?
Answer: Contact
csg.support@keysight.com
for assistance.
Question 2:
How do I delete a thermal CalPod from the list of available CalPods
in the CalPod Setup dialog box?
Answer: Instructions are in the PNA built-in help system. To
access the instructions go to the CalPod dialog box (titled "Calibration Refresh
Module Configuration") then click the Help button to access the PNA
built-in help system. Scroll to the information for the CalPod Setup
dialog.
Question 3:
What are the restrictions on PNA calibrations types supported by
CalPods?
Answer: See "Calibration Types Not Supported by CalPods" in the
reference section of the CalPods User's Guide.
Question 4:
How do I use more than two or four CalPods?
Answer: The basic CalPods configuration described in the CalPod
User's Guide assumes no more than one CalPod module per PNA port. See
Using More Than Four CalPods for additional
information.
Question 5:
Where can I get information on the CalPod Operational Check?
Answer: The CalPod Operator's Check described in the PNA
Online help. See Troubleshooting CalPod OpCheck Failures for
additional user information.
Question 6:
How do I troubleshoot suspected failures in CalPod hardware?
Answer: Use the CalPod Operator's Check described in the PNA
Online help. It covers both the controller and individual modules.
See Troubleshooting CalPod OpCheck Failures for
troubleshooting information.
Question 7:
What service is available for CalPod hardware?
Answer: There are no specifications for the CalPod modules or
controller. CalPod hardware does not require annual calibration.
When the CalPod Operator's Check indicates a hardware failure, the failed
hardware should be returned to Keysight. Failed modules will be
replaced if under warranty. Repair of individual modules is not
supported. Repair of CalPod controllers is supported.
Question 8:
What is the function of the Correct Power check box?
Answer:
The Correct Power check box allows the CalPods software to correct
for path loss introduced following CalPod initialization. When a
recorrection is performed, the change in path loss between the PNA port and
the CalPod module is calculated. The CalPod software attempts to adjust the
output power at the PNA port to compensate for any change so that the power
output level at RF2 of the CalPod module remains approximately the same.
(See the PNA on-line help for additional information.)
To accomplish this function, a Source Power Cal on the PNA port is
created if one is not already present.
If an Unleveled Source message appears on the PNA screen, the PNA source
does not have the required power range to compensate for the change in path
loss. An unleveled source may affect the accuracy of the calibration,
so it is recommended to uncheck Correct Power when this condition occurs.
